I gotta get outta here!!

"I gotta get outta here. I'm stuck inside this rut that I fell into by mistake..."

She sighed as she looked out the window at the dreary world in which she lived. Just three inches of glass separated her from the grey that was Northwest Washington. If I only had the money to jump on an airplane now and just leave she thought. Her heart longed for a moment when she would see the ocean with the sun setting behind it. All she wanted to do was get out of here; get out of the mundane, the repetition.

1 more year California and I am there...

Long Live

"...'cause for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world..."

The class of 2012 in a song lyric. Right there. We are the band of thieves in ripped up jeans. The other day we had our meeting with Jostens. In case you don't know what Jostens is, they are the company that supplies all our graduation needs; rings, caps and gowns, invites, and so on. Well we're sitting there...and out of nowhere, Kasey says, "You know by this time next year we won't be seeing each other everyday." I literally started crying...

This statement got me thinking. I'm so excited to leave but I am going to miss some people. Granted not EVERYONE and some more than others. Nonetheless I will definitely miss a handful of people.

Main? The Fulcer family. Josh and Annemarie Fulcer. Mrs. and Mr. Fulcer. They are all so wonderful. No matter what they always opened me with open arms. Josh? Well he's been already spoken of in a previous post. But to sum it all up he's about the most perfect man (and I say man for a reason) you'll ever meet. "I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you"

Annemarie? She's wonderful...:) She's like my baby sister. I can't imagine life without her. That's why I'm going to skype her every single night I'm gone. I just can't picture life without seeing her face every single morning. She always has a BEAUTIFUL smile on her face and whenever I'm lonely or having a bad day she always cheers me up. I'm gonna miss her so much...:( You take it from here darling. I have faith in you. "It was the end of a decade but the start of an age"

Then there's the Fay's. Oh my gosh. I will miss that family so much. Mrs. Fay is so wonderful and treats me like a third daughter. Mr. Fay is hilarious. Becca is so stinking funny!! But there's Jessica Fay. Jessica "Sweetheart" Fay. I swear there's gold where her heart should be. She's the most incredible person you will ever meet. She fights side by side with me in this battle called life. She's gotten me through more issues than George Washington got his troops through. She's helped me see myself as more than the devil tried to make me believe I was. Other than Jesus Christ and my parents, she's been the most supportive person in my life for who I am. "Long live all the magic we made and bring on all the pretenders I'm not afraid..."

Then there's Kasey Boettcher. She's great. She's crawled out of her hid-a-hole since freshman year. Me and Jess get credit for that. She's a reader, writer, and secret poet by night...or more specifically 2 a.m. She's our Asian Angel...:) Beautiful child that she is...yet she refuses to believe it. I'll miss having the crazy romantic alongside all my crazy antics...:( "I was screamin' long live, that look on your face..."

And of course where in the flipping world would I be without my baby freshmen? I still call them my baby freshmen even though they're seniors next year...OH GOSH! I can't even say that without tearing up...it's their time to shine now and they're going to be beacons for EVERYTHING they do. They will shine the light of Christ everywhere they walk. They will shine the love in their hearts. They will go so much farther than anyone will ever expect! and trust me...people already expect them to go REALLY far...:) "Hold on just spinnin' around..."

You may be wondering why in the world I would even be writing all this long before graduation. Here's how I look at it. In our senior letters we only get so much space. I want to let the important people in my life know how much I SINCERELY care about them. And I figure...this is the add on to that senior letter. I want this to be an outward confession and reminder of what a blessing all these people are in my life...I love you all. Thank you for shaping me into the person I am today. There will be more people to come...not to worry!

"May these memories break our fall"

My Best Friend...:)

Yes I'm blogging about my best friend. And Josh if you ever read this I SWEAR it's PURELY out of an admiration for you...:) But he truly is my best friend. He knows me inside and out. He's seen me at my worst and at my best. He accepts me for who I am and defends me against those who don't. He encourages me to be me and fights for when I'm not. He's one of the ONLY people that I can go to sobbing and he can both say "I'm sorry Abbs" and "Suck it up" :) Yep he's pretty great. you can be jealous if you want to be ;)

Oh by the way...

...I'M A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL!!!!! :D I'm so excited!!...that's all. Thank you :)

In Congress, July 4, 1776

July 4, 1776. The signing of the Declaration of Independence. What a sight that must have been! To be there when those signatures were being written; the tension that must have been thick in the air as they realized they were facing the world's largest power. With every stroke of the pen a drop of sweat formed on their brow. And finally as it's signed the hesitation in some minds that maybe this wasn't best. And it's because of the decision that those men made (and I say men because women had NO say) that we sit in freedom.

Now there is a point to my little "sh"peal about the Declaration. I'm sitting in my first period Bible class after having just finished my Bible TEST. (which in case you're wondering I non-consentually violated it.) The thing is, my Bible teacher was my AP U.S. History teacher last year and he happens to have a copy of the Declaration on his wall. I just so happened to look up, see it, and reflect on what it truly means and how big of an element it was to where we are now

Freedom isn't free. Understand the pain and sorrow it took to get to where we are now. But understand the pride in people's hearts when they say, "I'm fighting for freedom"

wow....just...wow

So my FAVORITE author (aside from God writing the Bible) would have to be Julie Lessman! :) she is SO talented and truly a huge inspiration! Well her first series, The Daughters of Boston, all have WONDOROUS covers with good looking men on them...:) my favorite was always Collin Mcguire. (see picture to the left.) Just recently Mrs. Lessman added some more pictures of the man who modeled for Collin McGuire. I was like "oh no it's gonna ruin my WHOLE outlook on him" and to my surprise it only increased my love for the character. If you'll look to the right you'll see the most BEAUTIFUL man alive. He is so good looking! This would be the model for Collin McGuire. Need I say more? please. go ahead. Enjoy this picture...........<3
