Popcorn and iced coffee...it was mine and Annemarie's pre dinner warmup. It was delicious actually. Iced coffee, popcorn, and the kinect is a GREAT combo! :) It's something I've learned honestly. And one thing I've learned recently is I suck at the XBox Kinect...well the Disneyland one that is...;) Annemarie likes to laugh at me. But that's ok. Because we're, like, best friends so I don't even care. I don't know. I guess I've learned a lot these last couple months. Because, as you know, it IS February. This marks the "4 month till..." period...yeah. So without further adue...the things that Abbie has recently learned. 1) well you already know the first. Iced Coffee + Popcorn = happiness <3

NCIS: Chapter 3
Ziva was the only one in the squad room at 12:20. 3, 2, 1…12:21. That’s all she had to do. There was no work to be done and there was no case to work on. She looked up and wondered where Tony, McGee, and Gibbs were. She thought about calling down to Abby just to say hi. She picked up the phone and called down to Abby’s lab. The strange thing was she didn’t answer. Knowing her partners, she figured something was wrong; something that apparently her team mates had been really good at hiding from her. She should rely on her training. She should be able to deduce why they were all being so secretive. She looked around to see if anyone was looking and when she found that no one was present, she walked over to Tony’s desk and typed in his password. She smiled at the fact that she could get into his computer from just watching his fingers type. When his computer unlocked there was a word document open that read,
Dear Ziva,
What you’re looking for is not on this computer.
Trust me I know you were looking. And I will be changing my password
Sincerely,
Anthony D. Dinozzo
Damn it Tony! Ziva thought as she slammed his desk.
“Ziva! You’ll be staying with Tony for the next couple days” Gibbs said as he came around the corner. Ziva jumped from her position when she saw Tony follow quickly behind. He sent her a look that was full of disappointment because she knew that he knew that she looked.
“Why am I…” she was so confused. Tony came up behind him and moved her body out of the way of his desk. He pushed her a little bit so that she could comprehend the message he was sending.
“Special Agent David. You are being assigned protection” Leon said as he also came around the corner. “You will be under the protection of Special Agent Dinozzo. You will not be staying at your house or at Tony’s house. We’ve arranged a safe house for the two of you.” Tony looked up at the Director with a confused look on his face. The information he was given was that Ziva would be staying at his house with him; not in some safe house in the wilderness.
“Director they don’t know where…”
“Unfortunately they do Agent Dinozzo. They have Intel on the both of you.”
“Who are ‘they’?” Ziva questioned looking from Dinozzo to Gibbs. Neither of them spoke. She looked to the Director to see if he offered any information on the question she’d asked. “Will someone PLEASE answer me?” Just at that moment Abby came around the corner with her face buried in papers.
“Gibbs the fingerprints on the weapon outside her house belonged to Adene Alkalai.” She looked up just in time to see Ziva’s countenance drop.
“Why would a weapon belonging to my cousin be outside my house?”
“Did you tell him?” McGee asked Abby as he walked into the squad room. He looked to see Ziva turn around and walk towards Tony. There were tears in her eyes as she slapped him across the face. She didn’t throw a punch and she didn’t threaten him. She only placed a singular slap across his face. She then turned to Gibbs and said, “I do not need protection…”
“Yes Ziva you do” Gibbs said as he cut her off. She ignored him and kept speaking.
“If my father wants me dead then he’s going to have to do better than a couple of floppy…”
“Sloppy” Tony interrupted. She looked over her shoulder and fired the most heinous death glare at him. She completely ignored his interruption and continued.
“He’s going to have to better than a couple sloppy agents. I will defend myself. He didn’t send trained assassins so I can take down regular Moss ad agents.” Gibbs walked over to her and placed his hand under her chin to lift her head up.
“I’ve lost one daughter I don’t need to lose two.” Ziva allowed the silent tears to fall down her face as Tony walked up behind her. Gibbs took her head in his hands and placed a kiss to the top of her head as his eyes filled up with tears of his own. “Now go” he said as he turned her around.
Without making eye contact with Tony she said, “Special Agent Dinozzo is my security?”
Leon looked at her and simply stated, “Yes.” Her face puckered in distain as she said,
“Then I’m going to need to bring my weapons…all of them.” 3, 2, 1…12:31; the moment Ziva David’s heart broke and the moment she knew it would never be fully repaired.
She stared out the blacked out window of the car they rode in. The outside world seemed dark to her; it seemed like there was no light in her life; it seemed like there was no one to open the window and bring light to her life. Tony was sitting next to her and he too was looking out the window. Ziva shot a look to him and wondered where her partner was because the man sitting next to her was not the same man he’d been before she knew what was behind closed doors. “How could you?” she whispered. His head didn’t turn towards her but his voice answered her.
“Easily.” She tried not to let this affect her as much as it was.
“And…?” Tony turned to face her with anger in his face. His voice was still a whisper as to not alert the driver.
“Because Ziva. You are MY partner you are MY partial responsibility.” She went to defend herself when Tony cut her off. “Yes I know that makes you feel inferior. Yes I know you don’t like the thought of having to rely on someone else. Yes I know that you don’t like hiding away. Instead you like facing issues and killing people who attack you and driving like a maniac and trying to handle things your way. But I have a duty to do here and that is to protect you with everything I’ve got. That means if a bullet is coming towards you, I’m jumping in front of it. That means if a shoddy Moss ad agent is coming after you then I’m with you at all times. That alone should answer your question.”
“I did not ask…”
“I know you didn’t ask for this. You didn’t ask for any of this.” He reached for her face and turned it towards him. “You don’t deserve this.” She began to cry and he reached over to unbuckle her seatbelt and draw her against him. He set her head on his shoulder and stroked her head as she softly sobbed into his arm. “You deserve so much more.” He looked out at the tinted world. How could it be so bad? How could it be so blurred? How could it be so tinted that a father would send assassins to kill his own daughter? And why did it have to be the woman he loved?

NCIS: Chapter 2 :)
“Director? Special Agent Dinozzo is here to see you” the director’s assistant rattled off.
“Send him in” Director Leon Vance said.
Dinozzo came storming through the door and before the director could say anything Tony said, “With all due respect, sir, I think we’re making a terrible mistake in this whole situation. My partner’s life is on the line. I won’t stop until I know she’s safe.”
“What do you mean Agent Dinozzo?” Vance asked in a much too political fashion.
“Cut the crap sir. Eli David feels betrayed and screwed over. He’s ashamed of his daughter and he’s not going to stop until she knows how much shame he feels towards her.” By this point the director stood up and approached Tony. “First of all, it would do you good to never speak like that to me again. Second, she’s MY agent! I’m doing the best I can. If you feel so strongly about this issue I’m sure Gibbs is going to find some way to step around the rules and defeat the situation himself. So if you want to join forces with him be my guest! But when Sec Nav comes breathing down my neck, I’m not gonna cover your sorry ass this time!” Tony stood strong against the battle that waged between Leon Vance’s voice and his ears.
“Yes sir. Thank you for your time. I’ll be with Agent Gibbs if you need me.” Dinozzo turned around and walked out the door without any further statement of defense. His partner was in trouble. The woman who he worked side by side with everyday was in danger. He learned that his heart was attached a bit stronger than he thought when she was taken prisoner in Somalia. If there was one thing he wouldn’t let happen it would be to let some Israeli assassins take her from him. And if he had to die for the cause, then he was more than willing.
McGee walked down to Forensic Scientist Abby Sciuto’s lab. To his surprise, when he walked in there was no loud death metal playing and there was no beeping of machinery telling him she’d found an important piece of evidence. Instead he walked in and found her sleeping on the floor cuddled with her farting hippo Bert. McGee chuckled at the picture of his forensic friend.
He thought about waking her up but thought better of it and turned to leave when he heard her voice softly say, “What is it McGee?” He stopped short and turned around to find his Goth friend sit up with her makeup smeared and her pigtails askew. He crooked his head like a confused puppy.
He coyly asked, “What is up between Gibbs and Tony?”
Abby was immediately awake and asked, too quickly, “What do you mean? Nothing is up! Nothing at all! Why do you ask? Because if something was up between them, then we would all know about it. It wouldn’t be secret.” She was talking too quickly and McGee could see right through the barrage of lies that Abby was putting up.
“Uh huh and that’s why you’re talking like you’re nervous and…”
Right at that moment Abby cut him off by turning her music up as loud as she could make it and yelled, “WHAT?? I CAN’T HEAR YOU!!! SORRY MCGEE YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO COME BACK LATER!!!” McGee took the controller out of her hand and shut the music off. He then grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her up against the counter.
“Abby! Tell me now; because if I can help with ANYTHING then that will be better than sitting idly by and waiting for some kind of…hell to break loose!” Abby bit her lower lip with contemplation. If she told him he couldn’t tell anybody else. She pushed him off and went to shut the door. Then she pulled McGee into the second part of her lab that was sound proof.
“It’s Ziva” she started.
“What about her?” McGee asked.
“She’s in danger. She’s had some assassination attempts against her. She doesn’t know it because…” her voice trailed off. She looked down at her hands that she was wringing.
“Abbs” he began. “Why hasn’t she noticed?” He was afraid to ask the question because he didn’t want to know the answer.
“She hasn’t noticed because…” Just then she looked up and saw Gibbs walk in. He stopped short at the computers and pointed at the computers signaling that something had been found on her computer and she failed to hear it. She opened the door and ran to the computer. McGee followed quickly behind.
“You’re now part of this McGee and you can’t tell her anything” Gibbs said as Tim looked at the computer.
“She hasn’t noticed because…because it’s her dad??”

Fan Fiction...:) NCIS: Chapter One
Chapter One...
The morning started out as normal as possible. The usual ding of the elevator sounded the normal amount of times and the same smell of coffee emanated throughout the room. The one odd thing about this particular morning was that Anthony Dinozzo was sitting at his desk when Special Agent Timothy McGee and newly minted Special Agent Ziva David arrived that morning. He wasn’t just sitting at his desk but he was laying on his desk and the steady rise and fall of his back indicated that he’d been there for quite some time and was sound asleep. Ziva pantomimed towards McGee that she was about to pour water into Dinozzo’s ear. It was the typical bantering between the two. But what lies in bantering could be the musings of the heart. That inkling of an idea had entered Ziva’s head and gave her enough pause to not follow through with her act of betrayal to her partners solace.
“You even think about pouring that into my ear David and I will pour it on your head.” Ziva shook her mind from the places it began to creep into.
Immediately she transitioned from the woman who was worried about what her attractive partner might think to the aggressive assassin who was stone and didn’t let petty things such as attraction enter that solidified fortress. “Oh Tony,” she laughed. “It was only in jest. And if I had gone through with it I would have been completely at your mercy.” She ended with a flirtatious tone, attempting to awaken her partner from the hangover of the work the night before.
“I’ve had a long night Ziva and am in no mood for the flirtatious side of you this early. Check back with me in about six hours.”
“You’ve got thirty seconds Dinozzo” Gibbs, their fearless leader, said as he casually walked into the squad room.
Tony immediately shot up and awake. “Good morning boss!” He finished his salutation with a yawn and Ziva admired as he stretched to his full height and even taller when his arms went above his head. His muscles flexed with every movement he made. His form fitted clothes clung to his body to help exhibit his nights at the gym were paying off. And…Knock it off David Ziva chastised herself. As she attempted to remove the image from her mind she sat down and began to open files on her computer as if to look busy. She checked her email and read the same email three different times. Gibbs walked over to his desk and back to Tony’s.
He placed a coffee on his desk and said, “You’re going to need that.”
“Thanks boss” he said as he took a hit off of his straight black coffee. Ziva and Tim looked at each other and then looked at Tony.
“You and Gibbs party last night or something?” Tim asked with suspicion.
Without even acknowledging McGee’s question he looked over to Gibbs and said, “The problem isn’t fixed yet boss.”
“Nope. It’s not. But for the moment, it’s paused.”
“With all due respect, boss, they’re only pausing to retaliate. I think we need to up our defenses now.”
If McGee and Ziva weren’t confused enough, the conversation that just conspired increased the confusion. This was going to be a long day.
“Tony!” Ziva shouted at her partner as he walked to the on base coffee stand.
“Run faster David!” She made the distance in 4 seconds flat, surprising her partner more than ever.
“You’ve been avoiding me Dinozzo. You’ve been avoiding me all day. Why is that?”
“No special reason Special Agent David. I’ve just been busy.” He looked up to the barista and simply spoke, “Just drip. Thanks.” Ziva turned him around and pushed him up against the coffee stand.
“You wouldn’t call me ‘special agent’ anything if you weren’t irritated. I will figure this out with or without your help.” She reached behind Tony and grabbed his coffee off the stand and shoved it into his hand.
As she walked away Tony mumbled, “If I could tell you I would. Trust me Ziva. Your safety is at the top of my priority list.”
