"Why it's almost like being in love..."

What a day this has been
What a rare mood I'm in
Why it's almost like being in love

There's a smile on my face
For the whole human race
And it's almost like being in love

All the music of life seems to be
Like a bell that is ringing for me

And from the way that I feel
When that bell starts to peal

I would swear I was fallin
I could swear I was fallin
Why it's ALMOST LIKE BEING IN LOVE!!!!

I'm gonna take a second...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so angry about my generation!! This is absolutely ridiculous! I sit in class next to this couple who...well...they do almost EVERYTHING but make out. They touch, they giggle, they kiss (quite awkwardly I might add) and it just makes me angry! That's all dating is anymore! That's what people have watered down love to. Awkward kisses and touching...places. If there was anyway I could change any of it I would! Love used to be beautiful and used to be admirable and used to be hidden under the lashes of blushing beaus. It used to be something that little girls imagined would happen to them one day. It was something that old couples lived into their 90's with. Now? Now it's just used as an excuse to do nasty things and THINKING there will be no consequences. And me? I'm sorry but I am ABSOLUTELY sick of it. It makes me very very angry. That's all. Thank you! *takes a bow*

David talks WAY too fast...

She sat at her desk waiting for him to finish his sentence. It was literally like lightening. Her reading was much slower and made her feel...awkward. He took a ten line paragraph and condensed it into what sounded like 4 lines. Honestly it made no sense. It just sounded like buzzing in her ear. bzzzzz bzzzzz. If she was allowed to fall asleep that's what she would be doing right now. Well I might as well suck it up...she thought as she began to read her designated paragraph.

If I never knew you...

If I never knew you (There's no moment I regret)
If I never knew this love (Since the moment that we met)
I would have no inkling of (If our time has gone too fast)
How precious life can be (I've lived at last...)

And I'm so grateful to you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Empty as the sky

                                                                                   Never knowing why

Lost forever
If I never knew you

...Vienna waits for you...

There's a song by Billy Joel called Vienna. I wanted to think of some songs that maybe could apply to a graduation. You know me...thinking ahead and all. Anyways, the song is called Vienna. The whole song is about encouraging a young person to slow down. Enjoy life. Stress less. Take a breath...or two...or nine.

"Slow down you're doin' fine you can't be everything you wanna be before your time"
I know for me there's so much I wanna do and so much I wanna be but sometimes you just need to step back and realize that maybe, just maybe, you don't need to be that right now. What you're doing now is what you're meant to be doing. And, taking it from my own spiritual stance, maybe God is forming you into that person you're striving to be but just slow down a bit and let Him do His job.

"...dream on but don't imagine they'll all come true..."
This is my favorite part of the song only because I dream big. Go ahead. Dream to the moon and back! Just realize that some of them might not come true. It's just reality. In fact, it's really encouraging. I know! You think I'm nuts! What is she talking about? You're supposed to MAKE your dreams come true! I'm not saying don't try, all I'm saying is don't build your life around all of them coming true!

Listen...I think you'll understand what I'm trying to say...

"The narrator is just telling this "crazy child" to enjoy life more. Maybe he's a college student who is freaking out about having to go into the real world soon ("if you're so smart tell me why are you still so afraid?"). He's telling the kid to calm down because there is plenty of time to get life in order. He's encouraging him to keep looking forward to the future ("dream on/But don't imagine they'll all come true") without committing himself to it yet ("you can't be everything you want to be before your time"). Vienna symbolizes some kind of future happiness. It isn't going to pass him by because "Vienna waits for you". This is a really hopeful song. The overall message reminds me of John Lennon's "Instant Karma" - "we all shine on/like the moon and the stars and the sun." Basically, everything is going to be alright."

I gotta get outta here!!

"I gotta get outta here. I'm stuck inside this rut that I fell into by mistake..."

She sighed as she looked out the window at the dreary world in which she lived. Just three inches of glass separated her from the grey that was Northwest Washington. If I only had the money to jump on an airplane now and just leave she thought. Her heart longed for a moment when she would see the ocean with the sun setting behind it. All she wanted to do was get out of here; get out of the mundane, the repetition.

1 more year California and I am there...

Long Live

"...'cause for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world..."

The class of 2012 in a song lyric. Right there. We are the band of thieves in ripped up jeans. The other day we had our meeting with Jostens. In case you don't know what Jostens is, they are the company that supplies all our graduation needs; rings, caps and gowns, invites, and so on. Well we're sitting there...and out of nowhere, Kasey says, "You know by this time next year we won't be seeing each other everyday." I literally started crying...

This statement got me thinking. I'm so excited to leave but I am going to miss some people. Granted not EVERYONE and some more than others. Nonetheless I will definitely miss a handful of people.

Main? The Fulcer family. Josh and Annemarie Fulcer. Mrs. and Mr. Fulcer. They are all so wonderful. No matter what they always opened me with open arms. Josh? Well he's been already spoken of in a previous post. But to sum it all up he's about the most perfect man (and I say man for a reason) you'll ever meet. "I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you"

Annemarie? She's wonderful...:) She's like my baby sister. I can't imagine life without her. That's why I'm going to skype her every single night I'm gone. I just can't picture life without seeing her face every single morning. She always has a BEAUTIFUL smile on her face and whenever I'm lonely or having a bad day she always cheers me up. I'm gonna miss her so much...:( You take it from here darling. I have faith in you. "It was the end of a decade but the start of an age"

Then there's the Fay's. Oh my gosh. I will miss that family so much. Mrs. Fay is so wonderful and treats me like a third daughter. Mr. Fay is hilarious. Becca is so stinking funny!! But there's Jessica Fay. Jessica "Sweetheart" Fay. I swear there's gold where her heart should be. She's the most incredible person you will ever meet. She fights side by side with me in this battle called life. She's gotten me through more issues than George Washington got his troops through. She's helped me see myself as more than the devil tried to make me believe I was. Other than Jesus Christ and my parents, she's been the most supportive person in my life for who I am. "Long live all the magic we made and bring on all the pretenders I'm not afraid..."

Then there's Kasey Boettcher. She's great. She's crawled out of her hid-a-hole since freshman year. Me and Jess get credit for that. She's a reader, writer, and secret poet by night...or more specifically 2 a.m. She's our Asian Angel...:) Beautiful child that she is...yet she refuses to believe it. I'll miss having the crazy romantic alongside all my crazy antics...:( "I was screamin' long live, that look on your face..."

And of course where in the flipping world would I be without my baby freshmen? I still call them my baby freshmen even though they're seniors next year...OH GOSH! I can't even say that without tearing up...it's their time to shine now and they're going to be beacons for EVERYTHING they do. They will shine the light of Christ everywhere they walk. They will shine the love in their hearts. They will go so much farther than anyone will ever expect! and trust me...people already expect them to go REALLY far...:) "Hold on just spinnin' around..."

You may be wondering why in the world I would even be writing all this long before graduation. Here's how I look at it. In our senior letters we only get so much space. I want to let the important people in my life know how much I SINCERELY care about them. And I figure...this is the add on to that senior letter. I want this to be an outward confession and reminder of what a blessing all these people are in my life...I love you all. Thank you for shaping me into the person I am today. There will be more people to come...not to worry!

"May these memories break our fall"

My Best Friend...:)

Yes I'm blogging about my best friend. And Josh if you ever read this I SWEAR it's PURELY out of an admiration for you...:) But he truly is my best friend. He knows me inside and out. He's seen me at my worst and at my best. He accepts me for who I am and defends me against those who don't. He encourages me to be me and fights for when I'm not. He's one of the ONLY people that I can go to sobbing and he can both say "I'm sorry Abbs" and "Suck it up" :) Yep he's pretty great. you can be jealous if you want to be ;)

New songs that I find THRILLING!!

"I like it like that" by Hot Chelle Rae. Need I say more? ;D

Oh by the way...

...I'M A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL!!!!! :D I'm so excited!!...that's all. Thank you :)

In Congress, July 4, 1776

July 4, 1776. The signing of the Declaration of Independence. What a sight that must have been! To be there when those signatures were being written; the tension that must have been thick in the air as they realized they were facing the world's largest power. With every stroke of the pen a drop of sweat formed on their brow. And finally as it's signed the hesitation in some minds that maybe this wasn't best. And it's because of the decision that those men made (and I say men because women had NO say) that we sit in freedom.

Now there is a point to my little "sh"peal about the Declaration. I'm sitting in my first period Bible class after having just finished my Bible TEST. (which in case you're wondering I non-consentually violated it.) The thing is, my Bible teacher was my AP U.S. History teacher last year and he happens to have a copy of the Declaration on his wall. I just so happened to look up, see it, and reflect on what it truly means and how big of an element it was to where we are now

Freedom isn't free. Understand the pain and sorrow it took to get to where we are now. But understand the pride in people's hearts when they say, "I'm fighting for freedom"

wow....just...wow

So my FAVORITE author (aside from God writing the Bible) would have to be Julie Lessman! :) she is SO talented and truly a huge inspiration! Well her first series, The Daughters of Boston, all have WONDOROUS covers with good looking men on them...:) my favorite was always Collin Mcguire. (see picture to the left.) Just recently Mrs. Lessman added some more pictures of the man who modeled for Collin McGuire. I was like "oh no it's gonna ruin my WHOLE outlook on him" and to my surprise it only increased my love for the character. If you'll look to the right you'll see the most BEAUTIFUL man alive. He is so good looking! This would be the model for Collin McGuire. Need I say more? please. go ahead. Enjoy this picture...........<3

Could I be anymore in love??

Ok so you're not going to be shocked if you know my AT ALL but I'm in love with another Broadway musical and it is now in my list of things I have to see on Broadway before I die. LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL!!! Now at first I was skeptic because it was like "oh here we go again...movie turned to (insert failure of continuing publication here)" I was like, "whatever." Watched it on YouTube and I'm absolutely in love beyond words!! the music is GENIUS and the characters are better in the play than they are in the movie (all due respect to Luke Wilson and Reese Witherspoon) I'm in love with Emmett so much! :) and Elle was just adorable! PAULETTE WAS FUNNY AS HELL!!! and my favorite song from the entire show is called "Legally Blonde" oh it's so beautiful...well if you're looking for a heart warming cheery slightly cheesy girlie movie watch it on youtube!! :) here's the link http://www.youtube.com/user/Legallyblondemusic ENJOY!!

So much to say, so little time

Time is precious...absolutely precious. I've learned that over these past few weeks. Time for studying. PRECIOUS!! Time with those you love. Make sure you make that time. Time for those you may never see again. That is possibly some of the most precious time you will ever experience. So after formal, we jumped into finals...1st period was simple because all we had to do was present our projects. :) that was fun! 2nd was sort of simple...we wrote our own final. Our teacher was really mad at us for failing our last test so he had us write our own final. 3rd was...well that was the one I had to study for the most...it was my French final and no matter what I just can't conjugate passé compossé...to save my LIFE!! But once I got a song stuck in my head it was fine...:) Lady Antebellum is what was stuck in my head! :) It was good! :) And then there was 4th period...Physics...:) All I had to do was present my project on Kepler! It was so much fun! I haven't taken 5th yet because that's tomorrow but I'm REALLY nervous for that one...6th we didn't take a final! XD PRAISE JESUS!! :) it was just choir...7th was suuuuuuuper easy ;) Wednesday is the last day of school! :D I'm so excited!!! Here comes summer!!!!

and I guess that's why they call it the blues

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6KYAVn8ons
Don't ask me why, but this song is ALWAYS playing in my head...again don't ask why. I can be sitting there doing absolutely nothing and have no song in my head and out of no where it starts playing in my head and I start singing it!! WEIRD!! hahaha but today I was sitting in French class and it popped into my head and I started singing it! well my friend David decided to bring up a time when we argued about the name of the song. Well it turned out I was wrong and he was right and he likes to bring it up...ALL THE TIME!! LOL!! anyways, today was an odd day...I didn't really like it...it sort of deserved the title of, "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues"

This is how we do it...when we don't know what we're doing

This is how we do it...when we don't know what we're doing
You should look at this...it's super funny!! it's just me and some friends being crazies in the mall and at school!! enjoy!!

This SUUUCKS! hahaha well I had a good time in 4th period today! it was fun! me and Fulcer listened to Daniel Tosh the entire time! Fulcer (in case you don't know) is my best friend ever...:) anywho, we were listening to Daniel Tosh...I had to shut it off though because I didn't appreciate some of his humor...hmmm. But then David quoted it and we laughed and joked and lol'd! :) So now I'm suuuuuper hungry, tired, and bored. I'm gonna go get a fat juicy stinking burger!! thousands of calories all in one hamburger! HALLEUJAH!!!! ;) PEACE!

Court is now in session!!!!

Well haven't been on this in a little bit...hahaha my cousin is blogging as well and I'm a bit behind her...woops! Well I thought I might tell you a bit about this weekend! it was so much fun!! My school's Mock Trials team went to STATE!!!!!! what is UP???? oh it was so much fun!! I was the Bailiff!! ;) Our witnesses were the BEST!!!! :) we had our prosecution team and our defense team and I was part of the prosecution team. so here's the list of witnesses. There was Hunter...love him to death!! he has one of THE BIGGEST hearts for God I've ever seen!! He is one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet! He played our witness named Jo Jo Viernes, an investigator. He invested the case that we were dealing with. He played the part really well! Then there was Devon...oooooh Devon...he is so silly!!! He is one of the funniest guys I think I've ever met! Also he is one of the most...well...blunt?...hahaha he's so straight forward that whatever he says just doesn't leave room for the imagination. Anyways, he played Dr. Jamie Kildare...the autopsy doctor. He was brilliant!! :) Then there was David...wow. just wow. Christopher Kross, or Chris Kross (admit it you're jealous of the play on words). He was possibly the best witness we had!! :) he's an actor...that's why. But also the character was EXACTLY who David is...smart ass, arrogant, rude, and just...hahaha he played the part REALLY well.  Lieutenant Kross. He was one of the first on the scene of the crime. Double standard. that's the word I was looking for!! hahaha then there was our other Devon...he played Jaden Lattimore; the victim's cousin. He WAS SO PERFECT FOR THE PART!!!! OMG!!!! it was fantastic!! :) then there was our Defense witnesses...Dawna, Shiv, Tzvetta, and Cole. I feel like I'm forgetting someone and I hate it...>:( urgh!!!! hahaha but it was a weekend full of sarcasm, silliness, snarkiness, and...oh my just plain hilarity!! I'll put up some pics!! :) gotta go!!! have fun!!....in the rain....
hahaha here's Michaela (one of our prosecuting attorneys...) and Hunter who played Jo Jo Viernes...we were so tired!!! this was after our FULL day of trials...
I can tell you this...these three weren't tired...lol they were attached at the hip aaaaaalllll weekend long!! :) hahaha they are quite comical together...

<-- This is me and Devon...our Devon who played Dr. Kildare

We were EXTREMELY tired...very very very tired....
Josh is on the right (he was one of our prosecuting attorneys), Devon is in the middle (he played Jaden        Lattimore), and then our fearless leader Mrs. Rogers.

The group!

Here's me and David! He was our Chris Kross...the best witness! :)
 Hunter...in deep contemplation

Shiv-let and David...they're funny!!

o.0

It's one of those days. You know? Where you can't stand people? It doesn't matter what they say or do you just want to run away to a far away place where no one can find you. You just want to sit and be content...yeah. Good luck! When you find that place do let me know. I'd really like to be sitting on a beach somewhere with a virgin Mai Tai in my hand and writing. I want to be sitting in the sun! :) Washington weather is wearing on my brain. I need sunshine and warmth not rain and cold. It's like I'm going insane...you know? The same old, same old? I'm tired of it! I wanna do something else for once! :( :( I'll get there. I'll get to my beach yet. Until I write next,
Abbie

Musical Rehearsal

This is weird...I'm not gonna lie. What is it, you might ask, that I find so odd? Blogging...haha and yet here I am sitting here typing it out. The whole idea that you would sit down just to express your thoughts to people you normally wouldn't express them to. Well I'm just going to throw this out right now. I'm not a very exciting person. I'm probably one of the more boring people you'll ever meet. My life is school and extracurricular. Speaking of extracurricular I'm currently waiting for spring musical rehearsal to start. It's thrilling really! We're doing "Into the Woods" this year and it's so complicated I'm not even going to try and explain it to you. You can look that one up ;) But some of my really good friends are in it! :) (that's what makes it so much fun) My friend Emma is in it. She's so funny! She speaks her mind on just about any subject ever mentioned. You can ask her a question like, "Emma? Does this color look good on me?" and she'll go into an essay on how the color combination doesn't quite match the way...ooh I have no idea! :) she's so wonderful! :) Then my friend Sarah is in it. Oh my gosh! you will never meet a sweeter girl than this girl here. Sarah is so kind hearted and so sweet spirited. She never speaks ill about anyone and she's such an inspiration! :) And next we have Michaela! oh my gosh!! I don't think you've ever met a more hilarious, darling, fantastic person! she's so random and..and..and! Oh she's just...there's no words! Then there's Nolan. Oooooh Nolan...;) LOL!! Nolan is one of the baseball boys! He is snarky and silly and...there's not much more ;) he means well, it's just...well...sometimes it comes out the wrong way. But he is really a sweet guy! And then there's David. My COMPLETE opposite! It's a wonder we're even friends! :) we've been through quite a lot...emotionally and friendship wise. He's full of sarcasm and chauvinism and...well...I don't know. He's HILARIOUS thought. One of the funnier people in my circle of friends. He'll play off anything and he knows what buttons to push on people. When he pushes mine, however, there will be hell to pay ;) LOL!! :) So we're a pretty corny group I would say...I don't know what they would say but that's how I see it ;) Well! Best be off! Musical practice is in session! ;) oooooooo classy...!
